	Clifford J. Stone, age 91, of Pinckneyville, died at Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 1:05 a.m.
	'Stoney' was born on June 24, 1913 in Anna, Ill., the son of Jesse O. and Ella Mae (Jones) Stone.  He married Pauline Foster on February 1, 1936 in Carbondale.  He worked in the coal mines and owned and operated a service station.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville.
	Survivors include his wife: Pauline of Pinckneyville, two sons: Jerry Stone of Columbia, Ill., and Larry Stone of Rockford, Ill., one daughter: Carol Lee and Ken Berry of St. Louis, Mo., two grandchildren: Clayton and Laura Berry of Woodbridge, Va. and Amanda and John Murphy of Phoenix, Ariz., and one great-grandson: Adam Berry.
	He was preceded in death by one sister: Mary Hart, one daughter in infancy and three brothers: Richard and Howard Stone and Paul Jones.
	Funeral Services will be held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Rick Hatley officiating.  Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery.
	Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services.
	Memorials may be made to Humane Society or Alzheimers Association.
